The Division I regular season slate came to an end last week, while postseason play continued across several other levels of college baseball.
Let’s take a look at which Canadians stepped up for their teams.
Lachance, McLennan off to JUCO World Series
McLennan Community College is off to the National Junior College Athletic Association World Series.
Deiten Lachance (Sherbrooke, Que.) had four hits, two of which were home runs, two walks, and seven RBIs in three games last week, including a grand slam to help seal the Southwest District championship in a win over Weatherford College.
Green, McKay, Wilde lead Niagara to sweep of Canisius
The 2024 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference champions are back in the tournament thanks to a weekend sweep of rival Canisius.
Jason Green (Georgetown, Ont.) had a huge series, hitting three home runs. He went 2-for-5 with a solo shot and three RBIs in a 7-5 Game 1 win. During a 17-12 Game 2 victory, he had three hits, including a two-run home run, a walk, four RBIs and was hit by a pitch. To cap it off, he hit a two-run homer in Game 3.
Curtis McKay (Dorchester, Ont.) hit a solo shot in Game 2 and two more in Game 3 to close out the series with three home runs. In all, he had four hits, three walks, three RBIs and was hit by a pitch.
Evan Wilde (Airdrie, Alta.) had his best game in Game 2 when he hit for the cycle. His home run was a solo shot and he drove in four runs. In Game 3, he had another hit and RBI.
Rogers pitches UIndy to Super Regionals
Bennett Rogers (Toronto, Ont.) struck out 11 over six innings as the University of Indianapolis defeated Davenport University 6-1 to win the Midwest Regional. Rogers allowed one run on six hits. The Greyhounds now face Northwoods University in the Midwest Super Regional.

Niles with seven knocks for Canisius
Canisius University received a strong offensive performance from Josh Niles (St. Thomas, Ont.) despite being swept by Niagara. Niles collected seven hits and drove in five. He hit a pair of solo shots in Game 1 before hitting another one in Game 3.
Manias with three-hit game
Aaron Manias (Uxbridge, Ont.) went 3-for-5 with a solo home run but Purdue fell to Nebraska, 11-9, in Game 1 of their three-game series.
Mitchell finishes regular season with 19 home runs
More respect should probably be given to the season Mack Mitchell (Toronto, Ont.) is having for Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville. With two, two-run home runs in the final week of the regular season, he upped his total to a team-leading 19. Over three games, he had five hits, walked once, drove in six and stole a base.
Irvine earns win
Right-hander Connor Irvine (Victoria, BC) tossed seven innings and surrendered one run on seven hits with five strikeouts to lead the University of Arkansas at Monticello to a 5-3 win over Minnesota State University, Mankato to open the Central Regional.

McAskie has 10 hits
Charleston Southern senior Aidan McAskie (Toronto, Ont.) pounded out 10 hits, walked once and drove in 10 in four games. Four of his hits left the yard. The former Ontario Blue Jay hit a three-run home run in a loss to The Citadel and a pair of solo homers during a Game 2 victory over Gardner-Webb. In games 2 and 3, he had back-to-back four-hit games.
UBC punches ticket to NAIA World Series
For the first time since 2006, the University of British Columbia is headed to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics World Series.
They secured their spot by beating No. 11 Oklahoma Wesleyan and No. 18 Indiana University Southeast twice in the Hattiesburg Opening Round bracket.
Trent Lenihan (White Rock, BC) had six hits, a walk, two RBIs, two stolen bases and was hit by a pitch in the three games.
Mitchell Middlemiss (Chilliwack, BC) went 5-for-5 with two doubles, a triple and four RBIs in the win over Oklahoma Wesleyan. Against Indiana U Southeast, he totalled three hits, a walk and three RBIs.
Aidan Rose (Calgary, Alta.) put together four hits with two RBIs and was hit by a pitch.
Kaden Zarowny (Strathmore, Alta.) swatted a three-run home run to open the scoring in Game 2 and finished the three games with five hits, two walks, five RBI and a stolen base.
Canadians help Cloud County in Plains District Tournament
They didn’t go down without a fight.
After dropping Game 1 of the Region VI Plains District Tournament, the Cloud County Community College Thunderbirds strung together four straight wins before eventually bowing out to Johnson County.
Noah Konings (Brampton, Ont.) led the offence with 14 hits, two walks, nine RBIs and was hit by two pitches. He belted a grand slam in a 12-9 win over Cowley College.

Myles Chamberlain (Victoria, BC) got the start against Fort Scott Community College and delivered 7 1/3 scoreless innings, allowing five hits, a walk and striking out five in a 7-3 win.
Kai Rempel (Calgary, Alta.) took on Coffeyville Community College and threw five scoreless innings in a 13-0 win to improve to 6-0. He gave up five hits, walked one and struck out two.
It sure to be another exciting week on the college baseball scene.
