Kenny Di Clemente (Oakville, Ont.) has been an impact player for the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics No. 25 Keiser University Seahawks.
Di Clemente currently sits second on the Seahawks in average at .369 and he tops the team with five home runs and 17 RBIs. He’s also played in all 16 of the team’s games to date.
Last week, he made the most of a three-game series against Michigan-Dearborn. Game 1 saw him go 2-for-3 with a walk and four RBIs, while also being hit by a pitch. Three of those RBI came via a home run to put his team up 8-0. The Seahawks would eventually cruise to a 14-4 victory.
In Game 2, he made history by becoming the first player in program history to hit for the cycle in a 23-1 win. He singled in the bottom of the first, hit a solo home run in the bottom of the second, tripled in the bottom of the third and singled in the bottom of the fifth. When the game was over, he was 5-for-5 with four RBI.
To help his team finish off the sweep, he collected two hits and was hit by a pitch in a 7-3 Game 3 win.
Earlier this week he was recognized as the Sun Conference Player of the Week.
And now Kenny Di Clemente is the Canadian Baseball Network College Player of the Week for Feb 20 to 26.
