Southeastern Community College’s Noel McGarry-Doyle (Vaughan, Ont.) was a standout performer during the Region XI Championship Tournament.

The Toronto Mets grad stroked 13 hits, walked five times, drove in 12 and stole a base in seven games for the Blackhawks. In a 16-15 win over Kirkwood, he went 4-for-6 with three doubles and five RBIs. His team would go on to drop the championship game 23-16 in the two teams’ rematch a game later.

On Tuesday, McGarry-Doyle was named an All-Region XI Honourable Mention thanks to a .344 season batting average. He also swatted nine home runs, drove in 56 and swiped 18 bases.

On top of all that, Noel McGarry-Doyle is the Canadian Baseball Network College Player of the Week for May 9 to May 15.
