CBN POW, Week XIII - Abraham Toro

There is a unique relationship between the cities of Nashville and Milwaukee.
The NHL’s Nashville Predators promote -- or demote -- players from -- or to -- the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League.
And the Milwaukee Brewers promote -- or demote -- players from -- or to -- the Nashville Sounds of the International League.
It’s the only such agreement in pro sports where in one city is a major-league city while another city is its top affiliate. Or actually it is two such agreements.
Abraham Toro had taken the shuttle -- Nashville-Milwaukee-Nashville -- and he would like to take the trip again to American Family Field.
With more weeks like this past one, Toro (Longueuil, Que.) may soon get there. He was voted the Canadian Baseball Network minor league Player of the Week for Week XIII as the best of the 134 Canucks in the minors. How the week that was went for Toro:
_ Playing first and batting seventh, he was 2-for-5 with five RBIs in a 12-4 Nashville win over the Memphis Redbirds before 5,444 fans at AutoZone Park in Memphis. Toro doubled to right in the second inning and hit a grand slam facing right-hander Tommy Parsons.
_ Playing third and batting sixth, he was 2-for-3 with a 5-1 win against Memphis in front of 3,443 fans. Toro walked in the first driving in a run, singled leading off the sixth and singled to right in the eight
_ Pinch hitting in the eighth, Toro hit a solo homer in a 6-2 win against Memphis before 2,868. Toro hit his third homer on a drive to right field.
_ Playing third and batting fifth, he was 2-for-5 with two RBIs in a Nashville 7-5 win against Memphis before 6,738 fans on Canada Day. Toro had a run-scoring single to left in the fourth for a 2-1 lead and knocked in a run with a triple to centre in the sixth for a 3-2 lead.
_ Playing first and batting fifth he was 1-for-5 in a 9-8 loss to Memphis with 2,880 fans. Toro doubled in a run in the ninth to even the score at 8-8.

Added info: A minor piece of information regarding the Frederick Baseball Club, a 2023 expansion entry into the IND Atlantic League operating in Frederick, Md. After an extensive naming contest which involved fans and local businesses, owners have revealed the new team nickname and from July 1, 2023 on, the team will be known as Spire City Ghost Hounds. We’re unsure of the relevance of these terms is to the City of Frederick. The MLB Draft League team took its Frederick Keys nickname with it when it left.

Just back from his stint as a member of Team Canada at the recent Pan Am Game Qualifier held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, it did not take Seabrooke very long to get back into the swing of things with the Goldeyes. In the space of five days, he made two excellent starts for the Goldeyes. The first of which was June 26 in a 7-0 win over Lincoln Saltdogs when he pitched a nine-inning complete game, giving up six base hits while striking out nine, to earn his third win of the season. He followed that up on Canada Day July 1 in an 8-3 win over Kansas City Monarchs, tossing six innings surrendering four base hits and two earned runs while striking out six, earning his second win of the week and fourth of the season. His overall record with Winnipeg in eight IND American Association games seven of which were starts, now stands at 4-1 with a 3.66 ERA.
