Crowell, Crowson homer for Dawgs in loss to Miller Express

The Okotoks Dawgs lost 9-5 to the Moose Jaw Miller Express at Ross Wells Park on Wednesday night.

The Dawgs had four home runs in the loss and have dropped two straight for just the second time this season. Their record is now 23-7.

In the top of the fourth, Nash Crowell (Yarmouth, N.S.) launched his seventh home run of the season to get the Dawgs on the board. Two innings later, Connor Crowson (Okotoks, Alta.) hit his third home run of the campaign. He finished 2-for-5 with an RBI.

Connor Stewart and Trent Lenihan (White Rock, B.C.) also homered for the Dawgs.

On the mound, Ryan McFarland (Calgary, Alta.) started and had a short night allowing six runs on seven hits in 1 2/3 innings.

The Dawgs will travel to Regina on Thursday to take on the Red Sox.
