The Okotoks Dawgs lost 6-4 to the Sylvan Lake Gulls on Sunday.

The Dawgs rallied for three runs in the seventh inning thanks in part to two throwing errors by the Gulls, but their comeback fell short.

The Dawgs fall to 7-2 on the season with the loss, but remain in first place .

Elijha Hammill (Oakville, Ont.) smacked a double in the second inning to score the first run of the game for the Dawgs. Nolan King (Regina, Sask.) knocked in two more runs in the bottom of the seventh to cut the lead in half.

On the mound, Noah Geekie (Strathclair, Man.) went three strong innings, surrendering just two hits, while striking out five.

The Dawgs now have two days off until they travel to Sylvan Lake on Wednesday to take on the Gulls. The Dawgs will then move on to Fort McMurray on Thursday to start a four-game set against the Giants.
