Official Okotoks Dawgs News Release
The Okotoks Dawgs have re-signed three key members from their 2024 WCBL three-peat championship team.
Infielders Connor Crowson (Okotoks, Alta.) and Ricardo Sanchez, as well as right-hander Ashton Luera, are returning to the Dawgs.
Crowson, a homegrown Dawgs Academy product, was the hero in 2024 as he belted a walk-off home run in Game 3 of the WCBL finals to complete the three-peat. During the regular season, Crowson hit .383 with 14 doubles and nine home runs while tallying 55 RBIs.
Sanchez, another product of the Dawgs Academy, has been a Swiss army knife defensively and a table setter for the Dawgs since 2019. During the 2024 regular season, he hit .320 with six doubles and a home run while collecting 15 RBIs and scoring 24 runs in just 28 games.
Luera was lights out as the Dawgs closer in 2024. During the regular season, he posted a 1.47 ERA and struck out 47 batters in 24 1/3 innings in 25 appearances.
