Dawgs' set franchise wins record with walk-off victory

The Okotoks Dawgs defeated the Lethbridge Bulls Wednesday night 10-9 courtesy of a walk-off single from Ricky Sanchez in the 10th inning.
With the victory, the Dawgs set a franchise record with 41 wins.
The Dawgs remain in first place in the west division with a record of 41-13.
Brady Baltus started on the mound and had a solid outing, tossing two innings and recording two strikeouts. Relief efforts from Logan Rumberg (Warman, Sask.) and Quinn Tocheniuk (Okotoks, Alta.) contributed to the Dawgs victory as they both recorded two strikeouts in their respective outings. Noah Geekie (Strathclair, Man.) earned the win.
The Dawgs were led offensively by Sanchez who went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and ended the game with a walk-off single. Alejandro Cazorla (Okotoks, Alta.) went 2-for-5 with a triple and two RBIs. Tucker Zdunich (High River, Alta.) extended his hitting streak to three games, going 3-for-5. Alex Stufft and Ruben Cedillo both contributed one RBI before being replaced.
The Dawgs will host the Brooks Bombers on Friday night for their final home game of the season before hosting the first playoff game on August 8.
