TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama’s Owen Diodati has been selected to the CoSIDA Division I Baseball Academic All-America Team.
Diodati (Niagara Falls, Ont.) was named to the organization’s third team. He is one of only 33 Division I student-athletes to be selected as a CoSIDA Academic All-American and is one of just 14 members on this year’s squad to hold a perfect 4.0 grade-point average.
The selection is Alabama’s first since 2007 when Emeel Salem was named a first team Academic All-American. In total, The University of Alabama has had a combined 212 Academic All-Americans in program history with Diodati being the 213th. He is joined on the list of Crimson Tide spring honorees by Montana Fouts and Kaylee Tow of softball.
