Four BC boyos shine at Area Codes in Long Beach

Theo Millas was the summer book fave going into the 2020 draft to be the top Canadian selected.
RHP Millas (Burnaby, BC) didn’t disappoint at the annual Area Code Games at Blair Field in Long Beach, Calif. The 6-foot-4, 210 pound Langley Blaze ace who has committed to the LSU Tigers, pitched three innings for the Kansas City Royals scout team in a 5-4 loss to the Oakland Athletics.
Millas allowed two unearned runs on one hit and a walk while fanning two in his three innings of work. Millas had a 51-pitch outing throwing 28 pitches.
LHP Justin Thorsteinson (Langley, BC) was next pitching two innings allowing two runs on four hits, while striking out a pair. Thorsteinson, also with the Blaze, threw 41 pitches -- 28 for strikes.
RHP Jack Seward (Coquitlam, BC) was next and he pitched 1 1/3 innings allowing one unearned run on four walks. He fanned three. The Coquitlam Reds threw 41 pitches -- 18 for strikes.
C Connor Caskenette (Duncan, BC) of the MId-Island Pirates was hitless.
Caskenette knocked in a run in a 2-2 tie with the Nationals and drove in a run in a 10-2 loss to the Brewers.
The Royals lost 4-1 to White Sox and beat the Cincinnati Reds 5-4 in other games.
