Grant's four hits in season debut propel Dawgs to win

The Okotoks Dawgs bounced back from Sunday's defeat with a 7-2 win over the Sylvan Lake Gulls on Wednesday.

The Dawgs improve to 8-2 on the season with the victory.

Logan Grant (Chestermere, Alta.) went 4-for-5 in his season debut for the Dawgs.

Nash Crowell (Yarmouth, N.S.) also had an impactful game. He started the scoring in the second inning with a two-run double to give the Dawgs an early lead. Crowell would finish with four RBIs in the contest.

Trent Lenihan (White Rock, B.C.) also had a multi-hit game, going 2-for-4.

On the mound, Brock Townsend went 2 2/3 innings, allowing three hits, while striking out five. The bullpen came in and allowed only two runs on eight hits, while fanning nine, to seal the win for the Dawgs.

The Dawgs are off to Fort McMurray to tangle with the Giants for the next four games, starting on Thursday.
