The Brantford Red Sox have re-signed Zach Lampreia for the 2022 season.
In his first IBL season with the Red Sox, Lampreia was a standout defensively as the team's starting shortstop. The Toronto native logged 36 putouts and 57 assists, while being charged with just four errors in 221 innings.
A graduate of the Toronto Mets program, he also played for Team Ontario in the 2012 Canada Cup.
Lampreia played collegiate baseball with Allan Hancock College, earning Second Team All-Conference honours in his freshman season. He also played for Midway University.
