WELLAND, ONT. - The Welland Jackfish have agreed to terms with infielder Brendan Luther for the upcoming 2025 season.

The Mississauga, Ont., native joins the Fish following his college career at Bellevue University in New England. In two years with the Bruins, Luther recorded a .374 average with 16 doubles, one triple and 11 home runs in 75 games played. The former Okotoks Dawg, spent three seasons in the WCBL, recording a career .362 average.

Last summer with the Dawgs, he recorded a .368 average with 14 doubles, three home runs and 29 RBIs over 37 games. Named the Dawgs Top Canadian in 2024, Luther was also named to the 2024 Western Collegiate Baseball League West Team All-Stars and the 2024 WCBL First Team All-Stars at infielder.

The Jackfish return to The Pond on Saturday, May 17 as they take on the Barrie Baycats.
