Blue Jays from Away
The Toronto Blue Jays' minor league clubs were 1-5 in six games on Wednesday.
Buffalo Bisons 4, Worcester Red Sox (BOS) 9
The Buffalo Bisons (56-38) fell to the WooSox 9-4.
Shortstop Christian Colon led the offence, going 3-for-3 with a home run, a walk, two RBI and a run. Otto Lopez (Montreal, Que.) also had three hits, going 3-for-5 with a run and an outfield assist. Forrest Wall was 1-for-4 with a walk and Tyler White was 1-for-5 with a run. Danny Jansen was 0-for-1, walking and scoring a run before coming out of the game as the catcher and Kellin Deglan (Langley, B.C.) took over, going 1-for-2 with an RBI. Richard Urena and Logan Warmoth were both 1-for-4.
Starter Bowden Francis allowed six runs on four home runs and 10 hits with a walk and seven strikeouts in four innings. Dany Jimenez gave up two hits and a walk, striking out two and Curtis Taylor (Port Coquitlam, B.C.) surrendered two runs on two hits and a walk in his inning. Nate Pearson provided a scoreless seventh, walking one and striking out one and Carl Edwards Jr. allowed a solo home run and struck out two in the eighth. Bryan Baker struck out the side in the ninth.

New Hampshire Fisher Cats 5, Binghamton Rumble Ponies (NYM) 7
The New Hampshire Fisher Cats (45-48) fell 7-5 to the Binghamton Rumble Ponies.
Three Fisher Cats had two hits apiece with Samad Taylor going 2-for-4 with a double and two stolen bases, Chavez Young staying hot with a pair of singles and an RBI and LJ Talley with a 2-for-3 day, hitting a double and driving in a run with a sac fly. Vinny Capra was 1-for-5 with an RBI and a run and Jordan Groshans was 1-for-4 with a run. Kevin Vicuna was 1-for-3 with a walk and a run.
Maximo Castillo went for his 11th win on the mound, falling short and giving up six runs (five earned) on nine hits (one HR) in four innings with five strikeouts. Brandon Eisert allowed just a hit in two innings, striking out two and Connor Law surrendered a run on three hits (one HR) with a walk and two strikeouts in an inning of work. Brody Rodning (1 IP, 1 BB, 2 K) and Graham Spraker (1 IP, 2 K) finished it off.

Vancouver Canadians 4, Hillsboro Hops (ARI) 11
The Vancouver Canadians (44-54) couldn't match the Hillsboro Hops, losing 11-4 in another convincing loss.
The offence sputtered to seven hits and four runs with Orelvis Martinez going 1-for-4 with a solo home run. Tanner Morris was 2-for-4 with a walk, a double and two RBI while Spencer Horwitz was 1-for-5 with a double. Will Robertson was 1-for-4 and Andres Guerra was 1-for-4 with a double and two runs. Eric Rivera was 1-for-2 and Rafael Lantigua was 0-for-0 with two walks and a run.
Paxton Schultz allowed seven runs on eight hits (one HR) with a walk and a strikeout in just two innings of work while Willy Gaston allowed another four runs on four hits and walk with two strikeouts in three innings. Justin Maese held the Hops off the board, giving up two hits and a walk with three strikeouts in two innings and Thomas Ruwe walked two and allowed a hit but no runs in the eighth.

Dunedin Blue Jays 1, Lakeland Flying Tigers (DET) 3
The Dunedin Blue Jays (43-54) lost the opener of their doubleheader to the Lakeland Flying Tigers, falling 3-1.
The offence had just five hits, getting a pair of singles from Garrett Spain who was 2-for-3 but was also caught stealing. Dasan Brown (Oakville, Ont.) was 0-for-3 but walked and stole a base while Zach Britton was 1-for-2 with a run and PK Morris was 1-for-2 with a walk. Riley Tirotta was 1-for-3 with an RBI.
Sean Mellen started, going three inning and allowing a run on three hits (one HR) with a walk and five strikeouts. Jefferson Herrera took over, giving up two runs on two hits with three walks and two strikeouts in the final three innings.

Dunedin Blue Jays 4, Lakeland Flying Tigers (DET) 7
The Lakeland Flying Tigers made it a sweep of the doubleheader, beating the Dunedin Blue Jays (43-55) 7-4.
Mack Mueller had two of the club's five hits, stealing a base while Miguel Hiraldo was 1-for-3 with a double and a run. PK Morris was 1-for-3 with a triple, an RBI and a run and Steward Berroa was 1-for-4 with a solo home run.
Justin Kelly started, allowing three runs on a hit and three walks, striking out one in three innings. Trenton Wallace made his pro debut after being the Jays' 11th-round draft pick this year and allowed four runs on two hits with four walks and two strikeouts in 1 1/3 innings. Julian Valdez allowed two hits and struck out one, allowing all three inherited runners to score and Hunter Gregory, the Jays' eighth-round pick this year struck out one in the ninth, making his pro debut.

FCL Blue Jays 7, FCL Phillies 0
The FCL Blue Jays (19-19) dominated the FCL Phillies with a 7-0 win.
Rehabbing Leo Jimenez led the offence, going 3-for-4 with a double and two runs while JC Masson (Levis, Que.) was 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI and two runs. Damiano Palmegiani (Surrey, B.C.) was 2-for-2 with a home run, an RBI and a run and Rainer Nunez was 2-for-4 with a run. Amell Brazoban hit a home run, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and a run while Jaden Rudd was 1-for-2 and Brock Lundquist was 1-for-4 with an RBI. Jose Rivas was 1-for-2 and Andres Sosa was 1-for-2 with a double.
Kendry Rojas started, allowing three hits and nothing more in three innings, striking out four. Soenni Martinez struck out one in his inning of work and Colton Laws allowed a hit and struck out one in his inning. Rafael Ohashi walked two but struck out six in three innings and Jiorgeny Casimiri walked one and struck out the side in the ninth.
