The Blue Jays' minor league affiliates played three games on Sunday (with the Dunedin Blue Jays rained out), winning two out of three.
Buffalo Bisons 0, Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (NYY) 8
The Buffalo Bisons (17-17) were shut out by the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, falling 8-0 on Sunday.
The Bisons only had seven hits with Richard Urena going 2-for-4 with a triple. Christian Colon was 1-for-4 while Kevin Smith was 1-for-4 with a stolen base. Rodrigo Vigil and Nash Knight were 1-for-4 while Logan Warmoth was 1-for-2 with a walk and a stolen base.
Lefty Anthony Kay was on the mound and allowed six runs on six hits (one HR) and two walks with seven strikeouts over 3 2/3 innings. Connor Overton excelled in relief, allowing just three hits over 3 1/3 innings, striking out five while Jackson McClelland allowed a hit in one inning. Kirby Snead surrendered two more runs (one earned) on two hits (one HR) with one strikeout in the ninth.

Roster Notes: Jeremy Beasley was recalled from the Buffalo Bisons by the Blue Jays, replacing Steven Matz who went on the COVID IL following an inconclusive test.
New Hampshire Fisher Cats 9, Portland Sea Dogs (BOS) 2
The New Hampshire Fisher Cats (14-21) continue to roll with another win over the Portland Sea Dogs, beating them 9-2 thanks to some strong pitching and a huge game from DH Vinny Capra.
Capra, not known for his offence and hitting in the number nine slot in the batting order, went 2-for-4 with two home runs and five RBI to lead the way. Starting in the top spot in the order, red-hot Samad Taylor hit his ninth home run, going 2-for-4 with a walk, the home run, a double, an RBI, two runs and two stolen bases. Otto Lopez (Montreal, Que.) also had two hits, going 2-for-4 with a double and stolen base while Demi Orimoloye (Orleans, Ont.) went 3-for-5 with two doubles and two runs. Chris Bec was on base four times, going 1-for-2 with three walks, an RBI and two runs while Austin Martin was 1-for-4 with a double and a walk. Jordan Gorshans was 1-for-5 with an RBI and Chavez Young was 0-for-2 but drove in a run with a sac fly before leaving the game.
Starting this game was Maximo Castillo who was solid, allowing just one run on four hits (one HR) with three walks and two strikeouts for the win. Sean Rackoski went one inning, allowing two hits and Graham Spraker kept the Sea Dogs off the board despite walking three and allowing two hits over two innings, getting a strikeout. Andrew McInvale finished it off, allowing a run on two hits with a strikeout in the ninth.

Vancouver Canadians 2, Spokane Indians (COL) 5
The Vancouver Canadians' (21-15) lit up the Spokane Indians to come away from their series with a 12-6 win.
With 16 hits as a club, the offence was in fine form. Eric Rivera had three hits, going 3-for-4 with a walk, an RBI and a run while Tanner Kirwer (Sherwood Park, Alta.) was 2-for-5 with a home run, three RBI, two runs and a team-leading 22nd stolen base. Ryan Gold was 2-for-5 with four RBI, going deep for his fourth home run, hitting a double and scoring twice while Luis De Los Santos also hit a home run, going 2-for-5 with two RBI and a run. Spencer Horwitz was 2-for-4 with a walk and an RBI while Sebastian Espino was 2-for-5 with an RBI and two runs. Rafael Lantigua was also 2-for-4 with a walk, stealing a base and scoring twice. Cameron Eden was 1-for-4 with a walk and a run.
Starter Paxton Schultz had one of his few rough games this season, allowing six runs on five hits (two HRs) with four walks and three strikeouts in just four innings. Adrian Hernandez picked up the win, allowing a hit and two walks over three innings, striking out two and Cobi Johnson finished it, walking four and striking out two in two innings.
