Blue Jays from Away
With just five games on the slate, the Toronto Blue Jays' affiliates were 1-4.
Buffalo Bisons 6, Rochester Red Wings (MIN) 5
The triple-A Buffalo Bisons scored three in the bottom of the eighth and clung to their lead as the Rochester Red Wings countered with two in the top of the ninth to win 6-5.
T.J. Zeuch had a solid start, going seven innings and giving up three runs on five hits with just one walk and five strikeouts. Kirby Snead got the win, throwing a scoreless eighth, allowing a hit and striking out one while Zach Jackson allowed a home run among two hits, giving up two runs with one strikeout in the ninth.
Richard Urena was 2/5 with two RBI and a double while Patrick Kivlehan was 1/4 with two RBI. Jonathan Davis was 1/3 with a double, a walk, an RBI and two runs in the leadoff spot and Andy Burns (1/3, BB, R), Patrick Cantwell (1/2, RBI) and Alen Hanson (1/4, R, SB) each had a hit.

Lansing Lugnuts 8, South Bend Cubs (CHC) 17
The South Bend Cubs continued to take advantage of the low-A Lansing Lugnuts' pitching staff, scoring 17 times to beat the Lugnuts 17-8.
Juan De Paula allowed 11 runs in just 3 1/3 innings, giving up 22 hits and four walks with only one strikeout. Joey Pulido was victimized for two runs on three hits with two walks and a strikeout in 2 2/3 innings and Andy McGuire allowed two hits in a scoreless inning. Cre Finfrock allowed four more runs on four hits (including two home runs) in two innings, walking one and striking out one.
Otto Lopez (Montreal, Que,) went 3/5 with two runs while Gabriel Moreno was 2/5 with a triple, two RBI and two runs. Jake Brodt hit his 12th home run, going 1/4 with a walk, an RBI and a run while Ryan Gold was 2/4 with a double, an RBI and a run. John Aiello was 1/5 with a double, an RBI and Hunter Steinmetz was 1/4 with an RBI. Griffin Conine was 2/5 with an RBI.

Vancouver Canadians 9, Boise Hawks (COL) 11
The Vancouver Canadians scored nine runs but couldn't manage to make that stand up, losing 11-0 to the Boise Hawks.
Gabriel Ponce allowed six runs on nine hits (including two home runs) with a walk and four strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings while Nicolas Medina gave up three runs (one earned) on two hits (both home runs), striking out two in 1 2/3 innings. Josh Almonte allowed another two runs (both unearned) on just a hit and a walk with four strikeouts in 1 2/3 innings and Luke Gillingham finished the game, throwing 1/3 of an inning.
Trevor Schwecke had a strong game, going 3/5 with two doubles, two RBI and two runs while Yorman Rodriguez pushed his batting average to .364 with a 2/5 game, driving in a run, scoring twice and stealing a base. Will Robertson was 2/5 with an RBI and a run and Luis De Los Santos was 1/4 with a double and two RBI. Dom Abbadessa was 1/3 with a walk and two runs.

GCL Blue Jays 2, GCL Yankees West 4
Second-round pick Kendall Williams had a solid start but the GCL Blue Jays' offense wasn't running particularly well in a 4-2 loss to the GCL Yankees West.
Williams threw two no-hit innings, but walked three and struck out five before giving way to Matt Shannon who allowed two unearned runs on a hit and two walks with three strikeouts in the third. Jackxarel Lebron gave up a run on a hit and two walks with two strikeouts in two innings and Blake Sanderson allowed a hit and two walks over three innings, striking out one. Miguel Olivo allowed another run on a hit and a walk in the ninth.
Hugo Cardona hit a double, going 1/3 with a walk and a run while Dasan Brown hit his second triple, going 1/3 with a walk, a run and an RBI. Jhon Solarte was 1/3 with a walk and Javier D'Orazio was 1/4, as was Gustavo Ruiz.

DSL Blue Jays 3, DSL Reds 9
The DSL Reds took advantage of four errors and held the DSL Blue Jays to just six hits, handing them a 9-3 loss.
Francisco Fajardo had two hits and a walk, scoring a run and stealing three bases while Juan Pizarro was 1/3 with a walk, an RBI and two stolen bases. Gabriel Martinez was 1/4 with a walk and Willfrann Astudillo was 1/2 with two walks, an RBI and a run. Gustavo Gutierrez walked once and hit a double, going 1/4 with a run.
Soenni Martinez allowed five runs (two earned) on five hits and two walks with six strikeouts over five innings while Jorman Gonzalez allowed four runs on four hits (including a home run) with one strikeout in two innings. Alcindo Pontes pitched a 1-2-3 eighth.
