The Junior National Team secured its second win against pro competition at the extended spring training camp, besting the Baltimore Orioles farmhands 8-6.

The Canadians overcame an early four-run deficit, scoring runs in five consecutive innings starting in the bottom of the fourth.

DH Simon Baker (Cochrane, Alta.) was a spark at the top of the lineup for the Juniors, finishing 2-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBIs. RF Ryan Stalony (Mississauga, Ont.) also had a pair of hits.

RHP Merek Yeager (Muenster, Sask.) held the Orioles in check in the middle innings, working three scoreless, permitting a pair of hits and a walk while striking out four.

3B Adyn Schell (Toronto, Ont.) provided the big blow for the Canadians in the bottom of the seventh, plating a pair with a single that gave the Juniors their first lead of the game.

1B Tim Piasentin (Coquitlam, BC) and C Mason Ault (Hamilton, Ont.) each drove in a run for the Canadians as they finished 1-for-2 and 1-for-3 respectively.

RHP Aiden Taggart (Grimsby, Ont.) battled on the mound in the late innings with three strikeouts in three innings to close out the game.

The other Canuck hits were a triple by LF Quinn Carson (Oakville, Ont.) and singles by 2B Tommy Hanger (Toronto, Ont.).
