Mariners general manager Jerry Dipoto announced today the following roster moves:

· Andrew Moore, RHP, recalled from triple-A Tacoma.

Moore, 23, was 3–3 with a 3.69 ERA (25 ER, 61 IP) with 54 strikeouts in 11 starts with triple-A Tacoma. In his six starts with Seattle this season, he is 1–3 with a 5.65 ERA (23 ER, 36 2/3 IP) with 16 strikeouts and four walks over two stints this season. The 6-foot, 195-pound right-hander earned the win in his Major League debut on June 22 vs. Detroit. He began the season with double-A Arkansas where he was 1–2 with a 2.08 ERA (eight ER, 34 2/3 IP) with 33 strikeouts and nine walks in six games (five starts) before being promoted to Tacoma on May 8. In three minor league seasons in the Seattle organization (2015–17), he is 17–10 with a 2.72 ERA (90 ER, 297 2/3 IP) with 263 strikeouts and 52 walks in 59 games (52 starts). He was selected by Seattle in the second round (72nd overall) of the 2015 MLB First-Year Player Draft out of Oregon State University.

Paxton, 28, left Thursday’s game with a strained left pectoral muscle in the seventh inning against the Los Angeles Angels. In 20 starts this season, he was 12–3 with a 2.78 ERA (37 ER, 119 2/3 IP) with 138 strikeouts, including 7–0 with a 1.92 ERA (11 ER, 51.2 IP) with 59 strikeouts over his final eight starts. He was named American League Pitcher of the Month for July after going 6–0 with a 1.37 ERA (six ER, 39 1/3 IP) with 46 strikeouts in six starts, becoming the first Mariners pitcher to win six games in a single month. This is his second stint on the 10-day disabled list after also missing time with a left forearm strain from May 5 to May 30. In parts of five seasons with Seattle, he is 30–18 with a 3.24 ERA (146 ER, 405 2/3 IP) with 391 strikeouts. He was drafted by Seattle in the fourth round of the 2010 MLB First-Year Player Draft.
