Official Okotoks Dawgs News Release
The Okotoks Dawgs were defeated by the Brooks Bombers 11-6 on Thursday.
It was their 10th loss of the season.
The Dawgs remain atop the west division with a record of 30-10.
Julian Tymochko (Etobicoke, Ont.) was chased early in this game as he allowed five earned runs in two innings. Relief efforts from Sam Stuhr and Brody Forno (Okotoks, Alta.) could not contain the Bombers, who came ready to play on Thursday night.
The Dawgs’ offence failed to score until the ninth inning. Connor Crowson (Okotoks, Alberta) went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a walk. Micah McDowell (Kentville, N.S.) smashed his first home run of the season after replacing Crowson at DH. Ricky Sanchez and Noah Geekie (Strathclair, Man.) both had two hits in the Dawgs' defeat.
The Dawgs will travel to Sylvan Lake for a Friday night game against the Gulls to conclude their two-game road trip.
