Pinkney named Terriers' College Player of the Week

Rutgers University catcher Hugh Pinkney (Etobicoke, Ont.) was a key contributor to the Scarlet Knights’ offence last week.
Pinkney went 2-for-3 with a walk and a RBI in an 8-1 midweek win over Monmouth.
Next up was a three-game Big 10 Conference series with Northwestern.
In Game 1, Pinkney doubled twice and walked in a 7-1 victory.
Game 2 saw him collect a hit, work a walk and drive in a run as the Scarlet Knights won 11-7.
During the finale, a 5-1 win, the former Terrier had a hit and a walk.
Honourable Mentions
The bullpen wasn't needed in Connor O'Halloran's most recent start for the University of Michigan. The southpaw threw a complete game in an 8-3 win over Michigan State. He conceded three runs on seven hits, while walking two and striking out five.
Brother Ryan O'Halloran had three hits, a walk, three RBIs and a stolen base in Butler's series win over Seton Hall. He went 2-for-4 with a walk and three RBIs in a 12-10 Game 2 victory.
Right-hander Sam Worthen made two appearances and earned his fifth save for D'Youville University. His first outing saw him throw an inning and allow an unearned run on one hit in a 6-4 Game 1 loss to Malloy. He picked up the save in Game 2, throwing a scoreless inning and giving up a hit in a 4-2 win.
D'Youville teammate Kyle Nash worked 1 1/3 innings and surrendered a run on one hit in a 6-1 Game 4 loss. He struck out one batter in the outing.
Catcher Matt Ward chipped in two hits and a RBI in four games for Niagara University.
Evan Harrison struck out four over 2 2/3 innings of work for Gannon University in a 6-3 loss to Clarion. He gave up two runs on three hits and a walk.
University of Charleston infielder AJ Karosas collected two hits, walked once and drove in three in a four-game series against West Virginia Wesleyan. He hit a two-run home run in a 20-2 Game 1 victory.
Lefty Campbell Ellis earned the win for Virginia Commonwealth University in Game 2 of their series with George Washington by working 1 2/3 innings. He allowed a hit, walked one and struck out one in the 11-4 victory.
Matt Brown threw eight innings and allowed three runs on nine hits to lead St. Petersburg College to an 8-3 win over Hillsborough. He walked two and struck out nine in picking up his fifth win.
Austin Gomm pounded out eight hits, walked five times, drove in eight and stole a base in five games for Parkland College. He hit a home run in Game's 2, 3 and 4 of their series with Central Illinois.
Iowa Lakes' Matt Torresan amassed seven hits, a walk, four RBIs and a pair of stolen bases in five games. He legged out two doubles in a 5-3 loss to Marshalltown.
