Royals to take on Baycats in IBL final beginning on Sunday

The 2024 IBL championship begins Sunday in Barrie.

The second-seed Baycats, fresh off a semifinal sweep of London, host fourth-seed Guelph, which eliminated defending champion Welland in five games.

Barrie lost to Welland in last year’s final and won its last title in 2019. Guelph is looking for its first league crown since it went back-to-back in 2003-04.

Game 2: Tuesday, Sept. 10 at Guelph 7:30 p.m.
