For the second time this season, a pitcher is the top former college player out of the Terriers' organization.

Right-hander Owen MacNeil (Georgetown, Ont.) got the start for the University of Charleston in their second game against Wheeling and threw 4 1/3 innings. He allowed one run on two hits, walked two and struck out seven.

The Golden Eagles went on to win the game 5-1.

Over five starts this season, MacNeil owns a 2-0 record with a 1.11 ERA.

Honourable Mentions

Lefty Campbell Ellis came on in relief for the Virginia Commonwealth University Rams and tossed four scoreless innings in a 6-3 victory over Princeton. He allowed one hit and fanned six.

Rutgers catcher Hugh Pinkney had three hits, an RBI and was hit by a pitch.

Cameron Chee-Aloy chipped in three hits, three walks, an RBI and was hit by a pitch in four games for Illinois.

Sam Worthen picked up his third save of the season by throwing a scoreless inning in a 7-5 Game 2 win over Goldey Beacom. Back on the mound in Game 4, which ended in an 8-7 loss, he threw 1 2/3 innings and surrendered an unearned run on a hit with two strikeouts.

Back to the University of Charleston, AJ Karosas had two hits, walked four times, drove in three and stole a base in four games.

Last week's Terriers College Player of the Week, Zach Marriott, had two hits, two walks, an RBI, a stolen base and was hit by four pitches as Hendrix College swept three games from Millsaps. The Warriors have now won 10 games in a row.

Niagara University teammates Matt Ward and Jason Green played well for the Purple Eagles. Ward collected two hits, walked twice and drove in two in five games, while Green hit a solo home run in an 8-5 midweek win over James Madison

Elijha Hammill had a hit and worked a walk in Central Arizona's 12-5 win over Yavapai.
