Two National Championships are set to begin on Thursday

OTTAWA – A double dose of excitement awaits this week as the 18U National Championship and the 13U Western Championship are poised to unfold from August 17 to August 20 in Fort McMurray, Alberta.
18U National Championship
Nine provinces will compete at Legacy Dodge Field and Ross Hennigar Ball Park for a chance at a National Championship title.
The last edition of the 18U Championship was also held in Fort McMurray in 2022, with Ontario (Mississauga North Tigers) winning the gold medal, New Brunswick (Metro Mudcats) capturing the silver, and British Columbia (Mid-Island Pirates) taking the bronze.
13U Western Championship
Four provinces will contend at Bob Campbell Field and Howard Pew Park in the first 13U National event of the year.
In 2022, the 13U Western Championship saw the Parkland Twins (AB) come on top with the gold medal, while Winnipeg South (MB) and Ridge Meadows (BC) capture silver and bronze respectively.

18U National Championship and 13U Western Championship in Fort McMurray, Alberta.
WHEN:
18U National Championship round robin play gets underway on Thursday, August 17 through Saturday, August 19. One quarter final game is set to take place on Saturday, while the placement, semi-finals and gold medal games all being played on Sunday, August 20.
The 13U Wester Nationals will also feature a round robin style play from August 17 to the 18, with placement games and semi-finals taking place on Saturday, August 19 and medal games on Sunday, August 20.
