COACHES COMMENTS:
The T-birds were on their bye week this past weekend, and were down on a day trip to Seattle to take on the Seattle U Red hawks. Sophmore Niall Windeller got the start and was solid through five innings allowing only two runs. Fellow sophomore Austen Butler paced the offence in the lead-off position with two hits, including a third inning solo home run. Freshman Jaxon Valcke followed in the sixth tying the game with a solo blast of his own. The game was a well fought affair as both teams pitched and defended well. It took some timely hitting late in the game by the Red Hawks to seal the victory 4-2

The Birds were back in Vancouver Sunday and were able to scrimmage for the first time on the brand-new Thunderbird Stadium field. The excitement is building towards the home opener on March 24th, where the T- Birds take on Oregon Tech.

Jr Catcher Zach Prisciak who suffered a leg injury against LC State and was out again this weekend. He is recovering and hopes to return soon.
