Vauxhall Jets win Haven Agencies tournament

The Vauxhall Jets won the 12th annual Haven Agencies tournament on Sunday with a 15-3 victory over Great Falls.

The Jets tallied eight runs in the first inning of the championship contest and Shayne Campbell (Winnipeg, Man.) added a grand slam in the the fifth to seal the victory. 

Chase Florendine (Lethbridge, Alta.) started for the Jets and allowed just one earned run on three hits, while striking out six, in four solid innings. Matt Wiggins (Merrickville, Ont.) pitched the final frame.

The Jets' offensive attack also received contributions from Liam Vulcano who had two doubles and two RBI, while Ty Penner (Lethbridge, Alta.) was 1-for-2 with a three-run home run.  Kaiden Cardoso also registered two hits, including an RBI double.
