It’s always interesting to examine how major league teams and players have performed compared to their pre-season projections.

Here’s a 2018 summary - including Canadian and Toronto Blue Jays players - from Bodog:

Teams

- 12 teams went over their projected win total and 16 teams have gone under

The top three teams that overachieved their total the most are:

- Oakland (currently 21 1⁄2 wins higher with three games left)

- Boston (currently 15 1⁄2 wins higher with three games left)

- Atlanta (currently 14 1⁄2 wins higher with four games left)

The top three teams that underachieved their total the most are:

- Baltimore (currently 27 wins lower with four games left)

- Kansas City (currently 15 1⁄2 wins lower with four games left)

- Washington (currently 11 1⁄2 wins lower with three games left)

The Toronto Blue Jays were projected to win 81 games during the pre-season and they will fall short of that. If they win all three games in their final series, they will finish with 75 wins.
