The Blue Jays’ affiliates lost all three games they played despite a wild seventh inning in New Hampshire that got both the manager and pitching coach ejected.

Buffalo Bisons 4, Louisville Bats 8
While Andrew Albers has been very strong this season, he got hit hard on Sunday, allowing six runs on five hits and two walks in just three innings of work before Jeff Francis allowed another two runs in three more innings. Rob Rasmussen and Bobby Korecky kept the Louisville Bats off the board for the final two innings but the deficit was just too much for the offense to overcome as the Bisons trailed 8-0 after four innings.

The Bisons opened their scoring in the seventh, getting solo home runs from Matt Hague and Daric Barton. Hague was 2/5 including the home run and Barton was 2/4. Andy Burns added two singles and an RBI while Brad Glenn cashed the other run with a single in the eighth. In his second game after being activated from the DL, Caleb Gindle got two more hits, both singles.

New Hampshire Fisher Cats 1, Richmond Flying Squirrels 4
Starting for the Fisher Cats, John Anderson was cruising through six innings, facing just two batters over the minimum before a leadoff walk in the seventh innings started to unravel his outing. Anderson allowed the walk and a double but managed to retire the next two batters in the seventh and looked to get out of the inning unscathed but unfortunately, the next hitter uncorked a three-run home run down the left field line. Manager Bobby Meacham and pitching coach Bob Stanely protested the call leading to both of them getting ejected. Anderson remained in the game and allowed a triple to the next batter before Scott Barnes came in to relieve him. In the end, Anderson took the loss despite six outstanding innings but he ended up with 6 2/3 innings pitched with three runs allowed on four hits and two walks and three strikeouts. Barnes went 1 1/3 innings, allowing the fourth run on another home run. Blake McFarland pitched the ninth, walking one batter.

The offense was, once again, quiet with Cole Garner going 3/4 with a double. Melky Mesa added two hits and an RBI while Dalton Pompey scored the ‘Cats’ only run.

Lansing Lugnuts 5, Peoria Chiefs 10
Jesus Tinoco went five innings and struck out seven batters while walking just one but the hits piled up and he ended up allowing five runs on nine hits. Starlyn Suriel pitched an inning while Colton Turner took the loss, giving up four runs (three earned) in two innings but all of those runs came in the ninth inning in which Turner pitched to four batters and didn’t retire any. Andrew Case came in to put out the fire but allowed a home run, scoring two of the inherited runners to score before he managed to get out of the inning.

Richard Urena was 1/3 with a double and a sac fly, driving in three runs on the game while Anthony Alford was 2/5 with an RBI. Jason Leblebijian showed his desire to get back to Dunedin after going 3/4 with a home run. Michael De La Cruz was 1/2 with a double and two walks and threw out one of the three attempted base stealers. The pitching also got some help from outfielders Ryan McBroom and Josh Almonte who each had an outfield assist to go along with a single.
