For the first time this season the top Canadian college player hails from the west.

But he plays in the south.

It’s hard to ask for a better opening weekend than the one Jude Hall (Chilliwack, BC) and the Southeastern Louisiana Lions had.

It started with a tidy 6-0 Game 1 win over Lindenwood that saw Hall go 2-for-4 with a triple and an RBI.

In Game 2, he went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run, a double, a walk, four RBIs and a stolen base to power the Lions to an 18-7 win.

His power was back on display in Game 3 when he hit a pair of two-run home runs. He was also hit by a pitch in the 13-3 victory.

To close it all out, Hall walked in a 6-5 Game 4 win to complete the sweep.

Jude Hall is the Canadian Baseball Network College Player of the Week for Feb. 10 to 16.
