The Welland Jackfish have signed outfielder Brandon Hupe.

The Vancouver, B.C. native joins the Fish following four years with the University of British Columbia. Last season with UBC, Hupe recorded a .315 batting average with 12 doubles, one triple, and nine home runs.

"Brandon is another superb athlete from Western Canada," said Jackfish general manager, Jason McKay. "A big body that can run with a plus bat."

Hupe spent time with Nanaimo of the West Coast League where last season he recorded nine triples and a home run along with 25 RBIs.
