Matthew Dickie headed south from his hometown to play for the Vaughan Vikings.

And now the Titans two-way man has committed to head further south.

RHP-OF Dickie (Orillia, Ont.) has committed to the NAIA’s West Virginia Tech Golden Bears. He chose West Virginia Tech due to the combination of its academic programs and its competitive athletic environment.

Dickie is the eighth Titan from the class of 2025 to sign a letter of intent with a US College.

Denis Bailey, 17U head coach and director of college placement helped place Dickie in the proper fit.

An honour roll student at Orillia Secondary School, who wants to be an optometrist, said the highlight of his Titan time was last September’s trip to play college-level teams. Yes, Dickie shall “remember the Titans.”

Dickie was one of two players to commit this week and join our Letter of Intent page, while Peter Berryman added another 37 Canadians to the 2025 College in College list, bringing the total for a record 1,167 college players, who play the majority of their schedule south of the border.
